[Vision2020] Say What?

According to the police report, he was arrested when he was outside, not
when he was in his house. Did Sgt. Crowley bait him into coming outside
so he could arrest him? Maybe. I don't know the specifics of that law,
so I don't know if you are in "public" when you are on your own land, or
in your driveway. In this case, he was on his porch, yelling at a man
that as far as I can tell was on the public sidewalk. He was also
warned twice, assuming that the police report was accurate.

It's certainly possible that his rights were violated in this case, I
don't know. I still find it hard to sympathize with him, since he
followed a police officer outside to continue to verbally abuse him. A
little restraint and a little empathy with a man doing an ugly job might
have kept him out of jail for a night.
