You say that like it's a bad thing.  I would rather not go through 
another round of irrational public fear, thank you very much.  We still 
have ridiculous screening happening at airports, where these geniuses at 
first wouldn't let a Congressional Medal of Honor winner take his medal 
on a plane because it was "pointy". 

We're turning into a nation of cowards, and it depresses me.  Our 
response to 9/11 should have been reasonable security enhancements 
instead of the "security theater" that we have now.  Terrorists set out 
to cause fear - the actual damage they do is just icing on the cake.  If 
you're not susceptible to scare tactics, their actual power lessens 
dramatically.

In my opinion, our President took advantage of the common man's fear of 
another attack to start a war in Iraq we should never have been involved 
in, for what I believe to be personal reasons.  I don't know about you, 
but it pisses me off when something like that happens.
