For Immediate Release:

Idaho Highway 8 - Travel Delays Expected

Moscow, Idaho - SPECIAL NOTICE: Starting Monday, July 6th through July
10th, Highway 8 through the construction zone will be reduced to a
single lane, controlled by flaggers during the day. The travelling
public can expect up to 15 minute delays during this period. During the
project, through traffic is encouraged to take the approved detour onto
Palouse River Drive and Mountain View Road.

Idaho Highway 8 is currently being widened to 40 feet and a center turn
lane added between Veatch Street and White Place. The project began May
18. In addition to expansion and the addition of a 12-foot center turn
lane, the project includes the installation of a main storm sewer trunk
line and lateral lines, manholes, curbs, gutters and a sidewalk along
the westbound lane.

Motley & Motley, Inc., of Pullman, Wash., is the contractor for the $1.6
million, .32-mile project that should be complete by September.
