[Vision2020] Hastings

I heard that *Waldenbooks* is closing on 1/24, or there abouts, due to
competition from Hastings. Perhaps someone can confirm that?
I'm very sad about Waldenbooks closing, as is my daughter: we have so many
fond memories of discovering books there long before Hastings arrived.
Waldenbooks had great customer service for years, and it's a perfect size
for young children prone to over-stimulation in an environment like
Hastings.

I've heard some fairly reliable scuttlebutt that Moscow's Hastings is
closing soon, in the permanent sense. As much as I appreciate Bob and
BookPeople, the closure of Hastings would grieve me.
Has anyone else heard a contrary or a confirming rumor?
