[Vision2020] The Third Street Vehicle Bridge Saga Continues

This Bridge is an example of hard earned tax dollars being thrown away. I would rather they just throw the money in the creek, as it might then at least end up being spent on something more productive and useful downstream.

Think about it, they want to destroy a safe neighborhood next to an elementary school and city park where kids play, widen a road, destroy greenery, reduce property values, just to save what would be about 12 seconds of drive time to go over 3 blocks to connect to Mountain View from 6th St., to Hayes, to 3rd St.

It would make much more sense to spend money on a pedestrian bridge or two over Third Street near downtown than to build one over a creek in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. Think about being able to just walk all over downtown without waiting for traffic, and imagine being able to drive through downtown without having to stop for pedestrians darting out in front of you. Wouldn't that be better than saving 12 seconds on your daily commute across the long big city of Moscow?
