Moscow Food Co-op Will Double December Food Donations*
 
During the month of December, the Moscow Food Co-op is matching 
pound-for-pound all non-perishable food donations dropped at the Co-op 
for distribution to local food banks. By leaving food donations at the 
Co-op, the gift to the food banks will be doubled.
Food bank donations can include canned and packaged foods (not frozen or 
refrigerated), toiletries, and laundry supplies. Donations are accepted 
from any store and do not need to have been purchased at the Co-op.
 
Volunteers from the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Palouse Social 
Action Committee will take Co-op food donations to area food banks.
The Moscow Food Co-op has installed a shelf for depositing the donations 
of nonperishable foods.  The shelf is by the front door on the Deli side 
of the building and is clearly marked for food bank donations. Donations 
of non-perishable food will be accepted there year round.
 
The Co-op is located at 121 East Fifth Street in downtown Moscow.
