[Vision2020] Sojourners' needs our help.

I don't know how many visionaries read the article in Saturday's Daily News
about Sojourners' Alliance, the local transitional homeless shelter. If you
haven't seen it, please purchase a paper, or go on-line and read the
article.

As a member of the board, and the Treasurer, I would like to encourage
everyone in the community to give something to the shelter. Our corporate
grants have shrunk considerably, some companies eliminating all giving, and
others cutting donations in half. Private donations have decreased as well.
But the need has increased, with people calling daily for help.

As Randy Paulin stated so eloquently in the article, it could by any of us
who need the services of Sojourners. My husband had a stroke last year, and
if it hadn't been for a disability policy he bought years ago, we could very
well be on the streets today. Seriously, we all need to consider how many
paychecks away from homelessness we all are.

We cannot house a family in the family unit of the shelter until the shower
and walls are fixed. We need to pay ongoing maintenance and utility bills.
We need to pay the staff wages, who are all doing an incredible job.

Please give what you can, every little bit helps.

Sojourners' Alliance - 627 N. Van Buren #1 - Moscow, ID 83843

Thanks!
