[Vision2020] Stupid mouse

So my 2 cats woke me up at 2:00 this morning chasing a mouse that somehow found its way into my apartment.  One of the not too bright guys even caught it about 4 times in his mouth, only to let it go.  I guess it is catch and release with him.  I reluctantly bought a couple of mousetraps this morning, and I tried peanut butter as the bait, per the suggestion from the makers of the trap.  Does anyone have experience with a better bait which will help send our guest into mouse heaven?  Carl Westberg Jr.
