Dear Donovan,

Bear is correct. You don't read the Bible very carefully, Bear does.  
Please read his comments again.

The Ten (not Two) Commandments did not come from Jesus, in the New  
Testament; they came direct from God, in the Old Testament. And they  
are not the same.

As for slavery, it is not condemned anywhere in the entire Bible,  
both Old and New Testaments, by either God, Jesus or anyone else.  
That is "the big picture," as you call it. Slavery is in the context  
of everything we read in the Bible. Or, as Doug Wilson would put it,  
Slavery is biblical. I agree with Doug.

Donovan, I think you're trying to discredit the Bible by making false  
claims about it.
