[Vision2020] DOW above 8000

Markets are closed today for Good Friday.  The DOW drove up through the 8000 mark yesterday.  This good news can't be considered good news to Dale considering the supposedly Wicked and Evil Democrats are in power and all of Dale's doom and gloom postings after Obama's inauguration.  Also, is there an ETA yet on the overturning of the 2nd Amendment as predicted by conservatives and gun nuts alike?  The 2nd amendment ban scare is a red herring position similar to when the Left claims that abortion will be banned under GOP rule even though it never happens even with the White House / Congress / Court deck entirely stacked with Republicans who could actually implement an overturn of Roe.

BTW (although stating the obvious) - the only time the DOW / Nasdaq / other economic indicators have any importance / impact on politics is at election time.  I'm expecting Republican gains in both the House and Senate in the mid-term 2010 election simply as a natural cyle of rebalancing of the political pendulum.
