You are saying we shouldn't get rid of murderers, rapists, and thugs, because if we do, we become like them?
 
No, we become like them when we allow them and enable them to do the things that they do. 
 
When a woman is being burned alive, we have every right to say that is wrong, and a moral obligation to stop it. The fact that she is burning 12,000 miles away instead of next door doesn't change her pain, or our moral obligation to say it is wrong and stop it. 
 
People opposed slavery, and that is why it stopped. People opposed racial segregation, and that is why it stopped. People opposed inequality of woman in this country, and that is why it is stopping. 
 
Things don't stop just because, they stop because outside and inside social, political, and policing forces stop them or they stay because inside and outside social, political and policing forces protect them and make excuses as to why we should allow and tolerate pure evil.  
 
I say, what man with a soul or conscious could watch a woman get burned alive or raped legally in a society, and say that society should be allowed to exist and thrive?

The problem is, once "we" or who ever starts to "wipe out" societies, don't "we" become
"them"?

And we have seen it over and over, not just in other countries, but here too! What if some
outside 
power took it upon themselves to do the same to us?

I can remember when Black AMERICANS had their bars burnt down, women raped, men hung 
etc....
WE, the US and other so called civilized countries locked up our own citizens and seized
there 
land and goods  because they were from a race that we didn't trust.
WE refused refuges from countries where they were oppressed because WE didn't want them
here 
either!


When, WE, out of fear, hate or envy start to wipe out societies, we have now become
"THEM".
