[Vision2020] Kibbie Dome To Become Pigouts

While I understand that Garrett posted this tongue in cheek, it actually has more merit
that 
you'd think.

Right now, the U of I is in financial trouble, for one reason or another, We, the tax
payers were 
swindled out of hundreds of thousands of dollars for the failed attempt to create Idaho
Place 
down in Boise, and everyone seems to be OK with that, since I have seen NO effort to get
the 
money back into the university coffers. 

Now, in tough financial times, it's time to cut fat from the basic operations of the
university.
How much could be saved annually by closing down the semi-pro farm teams we call our NCAA 
teams? How many of the kids that get on the NCAA teams here at Idaho EVER get picked up by

the pros?  And if we're going to spend any money at all on "scholarships" to fund this
farm 
club,  shouldn't we get something for the money rather than losing season after losing
season?

10 Million to "repair" Kibbie Dome? I don't think so, put that 10 million into the BASIC
services 
of the school, not the fluff! 

And I've heard all the specious arguments about how much the teams bring into the
university 
-Horse pucky!  If it cost $2  to bring in 1$ and that money is funneled back into the NCAA
farm 
teams, it's a losing proposition!  it seems no one at the University of Chicago misses
having an 
NCAA farm team and the contributions for academics don't suffer at all!
