Gee, Now I wonder why I watched so closely that I let my meatloaf burn a bit. If I had only known we could have had supper at 6:30. But I must have been watching a different program because on that one Obama did just fine.

Interestingly, although tongiht's debate hasn't yet taken place, I see the McCain campaign is advertising on the web that they already "won the debate," apparently, "hands down." That's taking spin to a whole new level.

for the links to work, you will need to go to the Post's web site through the link above, but here is the text from the story:
    McCain Wins Debate
Although the fate of tonight's presidential debate in Mississippi remains very much up in the air, John McCain has apparently already won it -- if you believe an Internet ad an astute reader spotted next to this piece in the online edition of the Wall Street Journal this morning.

"McCain Wins Debate!" declares the ad which features a headshot of a smiling McCain with an American flag background. Another ad spotted by our eagle-eyed observer featured a quote from McCain campaign manager Rick Davis declaring: "McCain won the debate-- hands down."

    Here's the screenshot.
