Sorry, Bev.  I shouldn't have said that anyone who sees Diddy as a spokesman for African Americans is an idiot.  I should have said such a person  "is entirely smug in his prejudices and fears, wrapping them around him like a warm blanket while sipping from the cup of bitterness in front of a fire stoked by hate."  But my arthritis is acting up today, so I went for the shorthand.
