[Vision2020] Palin Candidacy Helps Planned Parenthood Fundraising

I don't understand why an email from you or Rosemary could get a post removed unless ...

The real question is did Harkins ask or not? If he did, I'll apologize immediately.

Wrt Dr. No, maybe he is responsible for the Courtney post, maybe he isn't. Yet I believe he is. In a
political climate where one's personal views on abortion might influence another's possible
decisions I don't see why I can't state my own personal views on the matter in public. Why not?

But things could be different. I'm willing to scale back. I just want to get a grip on the rules of the
game. If I can get some general consensus from conservatives and progressives alike that Dr. No
is taking things too far, or that the guy with the bigot sign took things too far, or that things were
taken too far when Courtney put up a blog in the name of a dead man, I might change my view.

I am respectful of those, like you, who want to take the high road on these issues. But given that
the last two presidential elections have lead to (a) a war in Iraq and (b) our current economic
crisis, what good is the high road? It doesn't seem to work. What works is the low road, so don't we owe it to our cause to take it? Isn't saving a few thousand lives in Iraq, or a few billion dollars
at home worth a few political gestures? After all, if we'd have adopted these same policies ...

Maybe you have an answer, maybe someone else does. I'd like to know. Right now I feel as if there
is a war, and in a war all is fair. Someone convince me otherwise.

Best, Joe

Wilson does what he does, Glaesbrook likely does what Wilson does, unless told to stop, but it's wrong to conclude that Harkins didn't ask Wilson to intervene. Besides that, Wilson is unlikely to be impressed by Linda Pall's service, and unlikely to do what you would have had Jeff to ask him to do, just because Jeff asked.

He asked Dale Courney to remove the offensive joke by No Weatherman and Courney did so. If had wanted the man with the bigot sign to stop holding the sign, the man would have stopped. That is what I believe and there is evidence for it.

If he had gone to Wilson and said "Look, to call Linda Paul a bigot, after she has done so much for the community and given her record on human rights, is just absurd. Same goes with the others. This is wrong! He should stop and apologize now!" I have every reason to believe that the man would have put the sign down and issued a public apology. That didn't happen, ergo Harkins didn't ask.
