The following U.S. service member died while supporting combat operations in Iraq, confirmed by the Defense Department from November 7, 2008 through October 13, 2008:
 
Marine Cpl. Aaron M. Allen, 24, of Buellton, California; assigned to 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California.
 
Army Chief Warrant Officer Donald V. Clark, 37, of Memphis, Tennessee; assigned to the 6th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, Task Force 49, U.S. Army Alaska, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. 
 
Army Spc. James M. Clay, 25, of Mountain Home, Arkansas;  assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 153rd Infantry Regiment, 39th Brigade Combat Team, Arkansas Army National Guard, Little Rock, Arkansas.
 
Army Spc. Armando A. De La Paz, 21, of Riverside, California; assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 29th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado.
 
Army Chief Warrant Officer Christian P. Humphreys, 28, of Fallon, Nevada; assigned to the 6th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, Task Force 49, U.S. Army Alaska, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. 
 
Army Sgt. Jose Regalado, 23, of Los Angeles, California; assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.
 
Army Spc. Corey M. Shea, 21, of Mansfield, Massachusetts; assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.
