	2:53 p.m. -- U of I president may be in running for UC Riverside chancellor job
	
	University of Idaho President Tim White is being considered for chancellor at the University of California in Riverside.The University of California Board of Regents is expected to appoint a new chancellor in a closed session Thursday morning.The
Press-Enterprise in Riverside, Calif., reported Wednesday morning that
government sources said the new chancellor could come from Idaho.Sources told the Idaho Statesman that White has been interested in the job and is under consideration.White
informed the Idaho State Board of Education last month that he's been
in discussions with another college about assuming a leadership
position.He's declined to name the school. He could not be reached for comment Wednesday afternoon.A UC Riverside spokeswoman Marcia McQuern said Tuesday, "There's nothing to announce," the paper reported.The new chancellor is expected to meet with staff, faculty and students at the Riverside campus Thursday afternoon.
