I guess running a day care out of a store front on Main street isn't the same as having a school in the CBD.  Parking shouldn't be a problem either.  Parents picking up and dropping off little tykes can always use the Co-op's parking lot next door.  Outdoor play facilities are no problem either.  The kiddies can just be herded down Main Street to Friendship Square. Be sure to look both ways crossing the street, hold hands and stay in the crosswalk.
