[Vision2020] No New Primaries Was: "Under God" Was: Satanism

Well, Donovan, I would remind you that your original statement was that the words, "under God," had been in the Pledge for a longer period than it had existed without them. That is simply not true, no matter how you arrange the data.

Well,
I for one, think the 54 years as version 3 is longer than version 2 or 1 which each lasted only 31 years. Version 3, is the longest lasting version.
19 million Americans, out of 300 million, is a small number. Changing would hinder more that than help.
As for the primaries, Good! Great! You cut in line, your vote doesn't count. Maybe next time they will follow the rules. This is pretty bad for Hillary too, isn't it. Look forward to Hillary making this this biggest issue of the 2008. And Florida, isn't it ever going to learn how to vote?
Best Regards,
Donovan

Erm, 31 + 31 = 62, which is 8 more than 54. That is, a total of 62
years without "Under God," versus 54 with.
Incidentally, there are nearly 19 million Americans between the ages
of 65 and 74, who should easily be able to tell us what they remember
about the "Under God" change, assuming that it had any significance in
their lives. There are approximately 17 million Americans aged 75 and
older, who also might have useful recollections.
I'm betting that for most it registered as less than a brief blip on
their consciousness.
However, the words are there, they aren't going away, and there aren't
any serious arguments to remove them. Which means that I am
contributing to the continuation of a dead subject. Shame on me.
To make amends, how about changing the subject to this:
"No new primary for Florida Democrats," say the CNN headlines.
