[Vision2020] Gitmo

The claim has been made, and will continue to be made, that the people locked up in Gitmo are people who have been shooting at our troops.

It may be true for some of them.  But many others have been captured because of rumors or innuendo, sold out by someone claiming a reward; some were at the wrong place at the wrong time, or belonged to organizations our government doesn't like.

I would oppose the place as much if it were the idea of either Clinton.  To capture or kidnap people and hold them indefinitely is repugnant to what used to be our ideals.  So are the renditions, whether under Clinton or Bush.

Yesterday Donovan said something to the effect of 'What kind of asshole do you have to be that no country will take you?

I'll ask another question:  What kind of asshole do you have to be to defend Guantanimo and advocate torture?  One answer is: John Yoo.
