House Resolution 1370 - Calling on the Government of the People's Republic
of China to immediately end abuses of the human rights of its citizens, to
cease repression of Tibetan and Uighur citizens, and to end its support
for the Governments of Sudan and Burma to ensure that the Beijing 2008
Olympic Games take place in an atmosphere that honors the Olympic
traditions of freedom and openness.

Sounds like a bill that should pass the House of Representatives without a
single "Nay" vote, huh?
The final vote:
Ayes: 419
Nays: 1
No Vote: 15
Somebody actually voted against this bill, a bill demanding that the
People's Republic of China be held accountable and responsible for its
human rights abuses against their own citizens and to cease repression of
Tibetan and Uighur citizens.
Just who would vote against such a bill, you ask.
The single, sole vote against the spirit of freedom and openness belongs
to none other than the elected representative from the 14th District of
Texas. His name?
Ron Paul
