Sen. John Edwards Caught with Mistress and Love Child

I don’t typically cite the National Enquirer, but this is now going public everywhere. 

"Vice Presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards was caught visiting his mistress and secret love child at 2:40 this morning [Wednesday] in a Los Angeles hotel by the National Enquirer."
What’s of interest to me is the difference between the way that the MSM handles the Democrats and the way that it handles the Republicans. 
 
Think about the commonalities between Edwards’ and Gingrich’s personal lives. Gingrich has been hammered by the MSM for what he did to his previous wife. Edwards has been given a “by”. 
 
Why?

And August isn't even here yet.
