[Vision2020] How Could Anyone Support That Woman?

Roger,

What does it mean to win the war? Seems to me it's successfully occupying a country that had done nothing to us, and staying there in permanent bases. That's what the plan is, along with getting a puppet government to sign a deal that gives our corporations control of their oil. That's the wrong war for us to be in, and we should get out. I cannot support the goals of this war. 'Fighting it right' just means killing more people that hadn't harmed us, and destroying even more of their country.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. That there haven't been any attacks here since '01 is great, but there have been attacks in Europe, and our troops, who never needed to be in Iraq, are attacked there daily.

I'm not sure who you are referring to as 'fanatical muslims.' Is an Iraqi fighting a foreign invader a 'fanatical muslim?' He or she may be Muslim, but I doubt that's why they're fighting us. If we were invaded and fought the invaders, would we be 'fanatical Episcopalians' or 'fanatical Baptists' or 'fanatical atheists?' Would we be fanatics at all?

People don't like being invaded and told what to do. In the early Eighties we seemed capable of looking at the Afghans and understanding why they were fighting the Soviets. Why do we expect to be treated differently now in Iraq?

Sunil

> Yes we should be paying down the debt. When we are in a war we should fight to win it. As Goldwater said "either fight a war to win it or don't fight it at all". The way we were fighting it is like we have fought every war from Korea on,with one hand tied behind our back. This in no way to fight a war. We are have success now and should stick with it until the job is done. There has not been any other 9/11 types of attacks on us. There has been several attempts, but they have thwarted. If we pulled out now it would be seen as a major defeat for the U.S. The fanatical muslims would be embolded and there would be some successful attacks on us.
> There is a lot of fat in the federal budget that can be cut out.Short changing our troops is not one of them. We need to give them all the support we can in the field and continue to take care of the veterans when they come home. Earmarks are a place to start. Tax cuts would stimulate the economy and the increase in total income will more than make up for revenue that is lost by a tax cut.

He has been one of the strongest voces in support of the surge. A lot of his other positions are not vary conservative. Both him and Huckabee could result in a third party try by Ron Paul. This would insure a win by either Hilllary or Obama. Don't get my wrong there is a lot about Paul that I like on the domestic front. He is dead wrong on foreign policy however. I would like to see someone come out against the rebates. This is all just campaigning by both parties. To administer the rebate would be costly to administer in addition to the cost of the rebate per se. It would do nothing for the economy. A permanent tax cut would simulate the economy. Some incentives to business would also help. There should not be a bailout for financial institutions that have made bad loans or for those that have received them. Those that have been financially

She then was able it go back to work for the University Extension Service. She in now the County Agent at Shoshone. My son took a temporary job with Flying J as a janitor. He is now the Night Production Supervisor for Mcains. We helped them get through the rough spots. The have since paid us back.
