Up near Davenport just west of Spokane, there is a small farm with off
grid electric power. They use both a wind turbine and solar, with
energy conservation, of course. The wind generator they use is from a
local small business, and is "small;" I would estimate the blade
diameter at about six to eight feet, unlike the huge commercial wind
turbines for large scale power generation. The wind around Davenport
is fairly reliable.
