>From Representative Trails legislative update . . .

"2. HB 501 -- Protection of Victims of Domestic Violence -- this bill
that I cosponsored with Representative Ringo passed the House by a 67-0
margin. The bill would protect the addresses of harassed victims of
domestic violence by allowing the Sec. of State to serve as their post
office. This has been a very successful program in 22 states."

I remember this bill being brought up last year. It died a quick death
along with a bill requiring background checks of day care center employees.

I am very much with you on this bill, Rep. Trail. Do you and Rep. Ringo
feel that it may become reality this year, or do you possibly foresee this
bill ending up in somebody's desk drawer only to be re-discussed year
after year after year after . . . until the people of Idaho finally catch
on that the "powers that be" simply don't care.

I appreciate and value your input.
