[Vision2020] Obama Wins Idaho Big

Here in Latah County, there was a huge turnout for our caucus - I believe
something like 1152 votes were cast. IIRC, the results after the first
caucus were 22 for Edwards, 88 Undecided, 151 for Clinton, and 891 for
Obama.

I didn't stay until the end, but Clinton did eventually manage to meet the
15% (173, well 172.8) requirement.

There was a huge student turnout, and a huge topic of discussion amongst
them was The Great Water Sellout of 2007, and they are outraged. Uniformly,
my response was, "Did you vote in the city council election?" Almost
without exception amongst the Obama student crowd, the response was that
they hadn't. The irony, of course, is that if even a fraction of them had
bothered to vote, they likely could have saved their outrage because the
election results would have been different.

My hope is that this will be a valuable learning experience for them that
their votes do count and that they can make a difference!

Kudos to my fellow Democrats for such a phenomenal turnout for this
important event!

Tonight's results should be evidence to everyone that Obama is the candidate
that can win in states that vote Republican in the General Election.

Obama may pick up more delegates than Hillary because of the way that
Delegates are determined.

Great Work Obama Supporters. I know that Ada, Canyon, and all over Idaho are
busting at the seams with caucus participants.

Best Regards,

Donovan
