[Vision2020] Gov. Palin Foreign Policy Experience

After much diatribe about Sarah Palin's lack of foreign policy
experience, it occurred to me that many must be overlooking the fact
that Gov. Palin is Governor of the only state separated from the
mainland by a foreign country.

Hmm, the ranters must have failed world geography, assume that Alaska
and Canadian officials never talk or both.

Wonder how she ever managed to make progress on the gas pipeline
(which would cross sovereign Canadian territory).

It is also interesting to realize that Gov Palin's state is only 58
miles across the Bering Strait from Russian territory. I suppose she
never has to think about that as she wanders through her daily
"governor" routine. Wonder if the feds ever talk to her about that
issue - wonder if the Georgia conflict has any impact on her thoughts?

She is closer to "potentially hostile" foreign relations than any
governor in the US - followed closely by AZ, TX, NM, CA

Guess she would never have to ponder the stakes associated with our
huge energy deposits only 58 miles from Russia. Yeah, right - she is
never brought up to date on those types of relations.
