For Immediate Release:

Food Stamp Benefits Now Accepted at the Moscow Farmers Market

Moscow, Idaho, August 28, 2008 - The City of Moscow in partnership with
Backyard Harvest is pleased to announce the launch of Shop the Market-a
new program that allows area families to use their food stamp benefits
and Quest Card child support funds at the Moscow Farmers Market.

Beginning Saturday, September 6 and continuing through the month of
October, families will be able to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables,
bread, meat, eggs and other food items from market vendors.

For those eligible to shop the market using food stamp benefits, stop by
the Backyard Harvest booth near the children's playground to swipe your
Quest Card and receive "Market Money," which vendors will then accept
for approved purchases.

More information about the Shop the Market program is available at
www.backyardharvest.org or by calling Amy Grey at 208.669.2259.
