[Vision2020] Fwd: Not a Tri-State Petition: Conciliation Petition

I believe the original post falsely stating that Tri-State was supporting the petition came from this post (see below) on July 11, 2007. That email was simply quoting the petition which included Tri-State as a place to sign the petition (See Below). I would suggest contacting Don Harter, 208-882-3087, chair of the committee that put this out on all their petitions to get the error removed from all the petitions and letters.

Subject: [Vision2020] Conciliation Petition

I am not in the Moscow School district, but I am interested in the MSD. I think that for the good of everyone involved this should be settled asap. Here is a petition available at four locations for people to sign if they would like to see this resolved asap. Lets not drag this out threw the court system and waste considerable time and money.

Conciliation Petition

The Conciliation Petition, written by the Moscow School District Committee
for Goodwill and Conciliation, is available for signing at the following
Moscow locations.

. Southside Chevron, Troy Road & Washington

. Moscow Public Library, 110 S. Jefferson

. Tri-State, 1104 Pullman Road

. Stinker Station, 1044 Pullman Road

Following is an excerpt from the attached Petition:

"We, the undersigned, strongly urge the Moscow School District
(MSD) Board of Trustees & Dr. Gerald Weitz to accept the "win-win"
conciliation proposal described in this petition. MSD and Weitz immediately
should initiate a conciliation compromise by entering into a binding legal
agreement whereby Dr. Weitz will drop his lawsuit. In turn, the Board must
agree to re-run the contested indefinite levy as an ordinary maintenance and
operations levy. Such a conciliation compromise would leave intact the 2007
- 2008 MSD budget submitted to the State Department of Education on June
27."

The members of the MSD Committee for Goodwill and Conciliation are Roger
Falen (208-285-1116), Gary Young (208-686-1058), Isabel Bond (208-882-7499),
Dortha Hedrick (208-882-6865), Don Harter, Certified Professional Mediator
(208-882-3087).
