[Vision2020] A couple of events at WSU Friday and Saturday

There will be a free to the public presentation entitled "Muslim Women: the 
Challenge of Islamic Identity Today", this Friday, Sept. 7th at the WSU 
Center for Undergraduate Education, room 419, from 5-6:45 p.m.  The speaker 
is Edina Lekovic, communication director of the Muslim Public Affairs 
Council, a national organization in Los Angeles.  There will be a panel 
discussion on "Cross-Cultural Women's Issues" featuring Edina Lekovic, Rev. 
Kayle Rice, Dr. Gail Stearn, and Nahid Khan.  Ms. Lekovic will also give a 
presentation on "Women in Islam" at the Unitarian-Universalist Church this 
Sunday, Sept. 9, at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.  On Saturday, Sept. 8th, there will 
be a free lecture by Islamic scholar Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi titled "Building 
Bridges Across Faiths and Cultures" at 8:00 p.m. at the Schweitzer Event 
Center, 1825 Schweitzer Drive in Pullman.  Both events are part of the 
community celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Pullman Islamic Center, 
and is also sponsored in part by the YWCA.
