The Moscow Police Department would like to advise all citizens of a new
parking ordinance that went into effect October 8th , 2007. The
ordinance under Moscow City Code Title 11 Chapter 4 prohibits "Parking

The ordinance restricts off street parking adjacent to the roadway. "No

for emergency or city authorized vehicles."

Under the new ordinance, Sidewalk, is defined as "Any concrete,
asphaltic paving or brick material adjacent to a public street, whether
within the public right-of way or on private property, which is designed
for pedestrian use."

Tree Lawn is defined as, "that portion of the public right-of-way lying
between the street and private property lines which is generally
unimproved and which may be planted with grass or other vegetation."

For the first month the Moscow Police Department will be issuing written
warnings. Thereafter, officers will be issuing citations. The fine for
