[Vision2020] Judge rules March schoo levy null and void

Say what you want about all he's done for education in town but he is holding
the MSD hostage until he gets his way. He is not an elected official; he is just
one man. As I said, I favor the vo tech program but there has to be a better
way to get this accomplished than the way that Weitz has chosen. His past
good deeds don't change the fact that his current actions are good for no one.

"I understand from Darrell's email that he was instrumental in getting
the alternative school started. That's great - I'm glad he succeeded
there."
Please be aware that "instrumental" was not by way of ranting and railing
and waving his arms wildly to and froe and not by writing emotionally
charged
screeds to V2020. Dr. Weitz purchased the property
and building that is the alternative school. He paid to have it made into a
facility to serve the needs of a decidedly underserved portion of the school
district. He graciously gave the greatly improved parcel to the MSD at no
charge.
His thanks?
"This is not a reasonable, calm, concerned, mature man; this is a bully,
a professional gadfly, and a bit of an eccentric (she said, understating
her point in
the interest of civility).."
Considering the reception his good deeds have garnered you might
wonder why he still bothers to fight for the needs of the non-collage
bound student. Despite what you read from MSD employees past and
present, and others with a vested interest in seeing the status quo
presented as the pinnacle of success, he still sees a need for improved
opportunity for a large group of Moscow's kids and puts himself out
there to see that they get it. What a bastard.
