[Vision2020] Judge rules March schoo levy null and void

First, it is clear that Weitz has done much for the school district. But that doesn't make his current actions right. They are wrong. This is not how an individual should seek change. Of course he has the right but that doesn't make the action right.

Second, Donovan asks: "It is dubious to want the MSD to follow the law when spending your money on programs you don't want and not on the ones you do?" Wanting the school board to not spend money on programs that you don't want is not dubious. It is the lawsuit that is dubious -- trying to seek change in that way. If not, then by your logic everyone who doesn't like everything that the school board does should sue them -- which is absurd.

Also, it is doubtful that the majority of Moscow folks agree with Weitz, as the last levy election indicates. Apparently, most of us are happy with the school district. That makes the Weitz lawsuit dubious, as well.

It is dubious to want the MSD to follow the law when spending your money on programs you don't want and not on the ones you do? Says who? And why?

Then he should keep trying, but not by using methods that are ethically
dubious. I don't find fault with his having a vision and wanting to see
it through. I don't know that I agree with his vision myself, but it's
certainly possible that I would change my mind if good arguments were
presented to me on the subject.

I understand from Darrell's email that he was instrumental in getting
the alternative school started. That's great - I'm glad he succeeded
there.
