Keely,
If MSD runs elections according to State Law, how come we are rerunning the levy?

.hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY:Tahoma } I resent, Donovan, your cheap shot and insinuation that MSD is dishonest because it follows Idaho State Code and, as a taxing entity, runs its elections according to specific requirements set out within that code. Further, no one, least of all MSD, is trying to stop you from voting. Your own belligerence and paranoia does that for you.
I'd like very much to think you're better than this.

Dan C,
"Tell that to Wade Hampton, former South Latah Highway District
commissioner, who lost the last election 124-123 to Kelly Giese."
If I would have voted it would have 125-123, Dan. So it wouldn't have made a difference.
I am sure it is easier for you to vote than me, as MSD probably doesn't try to stop you.
Doesn't anyone else find it odd that MSD is in charge of setting up, recording and reporting voting results to determine if it gets more money? Shouldn't an unbiased source be in charge of an election that doesn't directly benefit from the outcome?
It is like putting a candidate in charge of running an election he or she is in. It's Kathleen Harris x 100. The City or County should run the election.

Donovan

". . . the election never comes down to one vote."
Tell that to Wade Hampton, former South Latah Highway District
commissioner, who lost the last election 124-123 to Kelly Giese.
Then Donovan says:
". . . If it was easier to vote, I would vote. But it is a hassle for
something that brings no fruit."
I'm not sure what's so hard about it. I know where you live, you know
where I live, and it's a less than ten minute walk to the fairgrounds to
vote. It's also less than ten minutes to the courthouse if you want to
vote absentee. None too difficult. If my wife's 80-something grandma
can get herself out of Good Sam's to go punch a couple holes in a card,
I'd think a young and vigorous Donovan Arnold can do the same.
Excuses are like cowboy hats. And those who don't exercise their
privilege vote have no right to bitch.
