[Vision2020] I sure hope we can see this soon

"Can you provide a reference to a peer reviewed article in a respected scientific journal that claims that the recently published findings of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change) are a hoax?"
Of course not...not in this country. They don't get printed and those who would are afraid of never getting another grant. And anything that gets printed in another country is so discounted by our well paid for press you wouldn't believe it nor would others. But, when I was in grade school just a hundred years or so ago they were sure that another ice age was coming. So, were they wrong then or wrong now??

  Pat et. al.

I make a point of studying the scientific counter evidence to the claim that human induced global warming is a serious problem that we must address. I'd rather that human induced global warming was a hoax or a fraud. Then I could buy that gas hog muscle car/SUV to pump up my ego, image and masculinity, with no worry about melting down the polar ice caps...

I'm ready to discover that the "She's so fine, my 409" (think "Beach Boys, California, 1960s") dream of my youth will not cause the Idaho snow pack to fade into history, negatively impacting irrigation, fish runs, drinking water, hydro power and recreation in reservoirs, not to mention increasing forest fires due to increasing and earlier drying of tinder due to earlier and shrinking snow pack, or that increased warming will not cause an invasion of organisms attacking forests or crops, such as already has happened in Alaska due to climate warming, or result in extremes of drought or massively increased rainfall...

'Global Warming Is Lies' Claims Documentary
    Sunday, 4th March 2007, 11:04

Accepted theories about man causing global warming are "lies" claims a
    controversial new TV documentary.

'The Great Global Warming Swindle' - backed by eminent scientists - is set
to rock the accepted consensus that climate change is being driven by
    humans.

The programme, to be screened on Channel 4 on Thursday March 8, will see a
series of respected scientists attack the "propaganda" that they claim is
    killing the world's poor.

Nobody in the documentary defends the greenhouse effect theory, as it claims
that climate change is natural, has been occurring for years, and ice
falling from glaciers is just the spring break-up and as normal as leaves
    falling in autumn.

A source at Channel 4 said: "It is essentially a polemic and we are
expecting it to cause trouble, but this is the controversial programming
that Channel 4 is renowned for."

Controversial director Martin Durkin said: "You can see the problems with
the science of global warming, but people just don't believe you - it's
taken 10 years to get this commissioned.

"I think it will go down in history as the first chapter in a new era of the
relationship between scientists and society. Legitimate scientists - people
with qualifications - are the bad guys.

"It's very rare that a film changes history, but I think this is a turning
point and in five years the idea that the greenhouse effect is the main
reason behind global warming will be seen as total bollocks.

In 'The Great Global Warming Swindle' Al Gore is shown claiming this proves
the theory, but paleoclimatologist Professor Ian Clark claims in the
documentary that it actually shows the opposite.

He has evidence showing that warmer spells in the Earth's history actually
came an average of 800 years before the rise in CO2 levels.

He said the influential United Nations report on Climate change, that
claimed humans were responsible, was a sham. It claimed to be the opinion of
2,500 leading scientists, but Prof Reiter said it included names of
scientists who disagreed with the findings and resigned from the UN's
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and said the report was finalised
    by Government appointees.

The CO2 theory is further undermined by claims that billions of pounds is
being provided by governments to fund greenhouse effect research, so
thousands of scientists know their job depends on the theory continuing to
    be seen as fact.

If we do discover a complete theory..of everything...we shall all,
philosophers, scientists and just ordinary people,
be able to take part in the discussion of why it is that we and the universe
exist if we find the answer to that,
it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason...for then we would know
    the mind of God.
