Indeed, when the beautiful big willows I mentioned in my other post on "Tree
Trimming" were being brought down at ground level by Clearwater Power for
power line right of way, there was an apple tree nearby under the same power
lines headed for the same fate.  I practically begged the workers to trim
just the top of this apple tree (please, dear sir!), so it could not
jeopardize the power lines, and much to my relief, they agreed.  Most of the
tree was left intact, and it flourishes to this day.  If I had not been
there to plead for the apples, that apple tree would have been firewood.
Avista crews, whoever they have doing this arborist work, may not be this
compassionate, nor have this level of discretion to modify their plans in
Moscow City limits.  My account occurred in rural Latah County during the
1990s.
