[Vision2020] Lies, Damned Lies, and Schwaller

Dear Mr. Schwaller,

I agree that apart from your “Look at me; I’m so
clever” attitude, you have specified that Steven
Stinger constitutes a threat to our community.
However, I detect another contradiction in your
position. On the one hand you write:

“I have repeatedly told the collective ‘you’ to voice
‘your’ concerns to, and have ‘your’ questions answered
by, those who are overseeing his release. Since none
of you have bothered to do so, I am quite skeptical
about the depth of your caring of the safety of the
community.”

On the other hand, you represented yourself as someone
who oversaw some of Steven Stinger’s rehabilitation
when you stated that you

“worked for several months with Mr Sitler and other
sex offenders in our area.”

And in your very first post you identified yourself as
someone to whom we could pose our questions, when you
wrote,

“ — questions? Just ask”

But when I bothered to ask you to show us from the
public record (or by any other means) that we could
trust your apparent inside knowledge, i.e. we could
reckon your assertions true, you answered by (1)
ignoring my request, (2) dismissing my request; (3)
ridiculing me, (4) all of the above.

Consequently, I must admit that this latest
contradiction, added to all your other contradictions,
does very little for your already shattered
credibility. Or to apply your standard, “I am quite
skeptical about the depth of your caring of the safety
of the community.”

But I’d rather paraphrase Mark Twain and simply say,
“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and
Schwaller.”
