There are a couple of things that are getting lost here. Not all of the people coming across the border illegally are "nice".
There is a huge problem with violent drug traffickers. US agents are getting shot at on a regular basis. Mexican agents engaged drug-gang members in a huge shootout not far from Nogales not too long ago.
Heaven forbid a hiker should cross paths with smugglers, the hiker won't stand a chance.
Mexico has vast natural resources, and could pull itself out of the third world. But why should it? Its citzens leave, relieving it of a burden, and they send US dollars back, helping Mexico's economy with no effort on the part of the government.
What a great cash cow, moooooooooo.
Until the US starts applying "real" pressure on Mexico, its corrupt system will operate as usual.
I doubt that will happen anytime soon. The US has its own problems with corruption, namely the Democratic and Republican parties both of which use illegalls for their own purposes.
The flood of humanity breaching our southern border will not be stemmed until the root causes are addressed and eliminated.

Mexicans greedy? I think not. . .a tad delusional perhaps. What makes them think they're going to see a doctor or a dentist when so many hard working U.S. citizens cannot afford to. Someone on the other side of the border must be feeding them a crock. . . . or they just can't read the news and understand how caring our Government is toward it's veterans, young children, mentally ill, senior citizens and the working class poor.
Damn, isn't that pretty much all of us?

Yes, the scores and scores of Mexican immigrants I know are here just because they're greedy enough to want their kids to have enough to eat and clothes to wear. Maybe a doctor when necessary -- and the really avaricious ones think they might even get to see a dentist before they lose all their teeth.
Boy, that sort of thing really chaps my hide. I'd write more, but I'm off to the store to get AA batteries for my sons' headphones. Not the on-ear ones. The other ones. It's hard to keep track.
