[Vision2020] Baghdad Is Too Hot For Iraqi Leaders?

Pat,

Do you mean by, "they are working," to refer to Bush, Congress, or the Iraqi
Parliament? Or was all that a complete quote from the Ambassador? Was this
from your C Span reference in another posting?

Parliament members who take a vacation while our troops in Iraq stay on,
constitutes more than "not working." It's complete disregard for the
fighters who swelter and die in the heat of a Baghdad summer while they
carry on in cooler climes. The extent of their work as policy makers is
almost incidental to the utter disregard they show for those who must stay
and fight. Nothing I read in any of the media, with the clear exception of
the President's press conference, make any claim that this fight is going
well, or has the potential to do so.

In closing, I do understand and agree with you on the point about Bush and
his vacation. When Bush goes on vacation I suspect he knows just as much as
when he is not on vacation.

Sue
