[Vision2020] Conciliation Petition

Tommy,

I though your position on the war was that first you were for it and said, "it was an all volunteer army", and now you are against it?

But if Dr. Weitz is now against something he was for 15 years ago, we need to bring it forth as evidence of his hypocrisy?

Silly me, but that just sounds amazingly absurd!

  Best,

  Donovan

Yes. One portion of Dr. Weitz' suit against the Moscow School District
concerns the 1992 levy that Dr. Weitz supported at the time.

It's kind of a Hillary Clinton/John Kerry thing. Dr. Weitz was for the levy
before he was against it.

something about the others? I am not signing anything drafted by people I
know nothing about."

I've not seen a response to this, but in case the information was shared
privately, I'd like to know, too.

One of the names in particular raised a red flag for me, but I realize that
the same name can be shared by more than one person. Which is why I've been
watching for a response to Mr. Ivie's question.

Also, let's pretend the petition is successful (whatever that would mean).
What would prevent someone else (perhaps Jim Demeerler or one of the others
who have been egging Dr. Weitz on) from turning around & filing another
suit??? It's been awhile since I looked at the legal papers, but I thought
Dr. Weitz was challenging not just the most recent levy but also levies
going back to when Dr. Weitz sat on the Board?

Really, I just don't Get It.

I don't know everyone on the Moscow School District Committee for Goodwill
and Conciliation but I do know who two of them are and they don't even live
in the Moscow School District. Maybe Gary still owns some rental property
in Moscow, I don't know for sure. What about the others? Can you tell us
something about the others? I am not signing anything drafted by people I
know nothing about. I believe that, now, this suit needs to be decided on
so that there is definitive case law on the books and then the Legislature
can act accordingly. I believe it was Bruce Livingston who suggested a
while back that the suit may be a good thing for this reason. I hadn't
thought of it that way until then. Thanks Bruce!

I am not in the Moscow School district, but I am interested in the
MSD. I think that for the good of everyone involved this should be settled
asap. Here is a petition available at four locations for people to sign if
they would like to see this resolved asap. Lets not drag this out threw the
court system and waste considerable time and money.

Board must
agree to re-run the contested indefinite levy as an ordinary
