[Vision2020] Conciliation Petition

Keely writes,

"it was Gerry Weitz who dragged this into court, and it is Gerry Weitz who is responsible for the litigation"

So according to Keely's logic, if a woman is raped and that woman drags him into court, it is her fault for the litigation, not the rapist?

Seems to me, when the law is broken, it is the fault of those that broke the law for the litigation, not the ones that try to bring it to justice.

If MSD broke the law, they should be held accountable.

MSD is being sued because of their actions, not Dr. Weitz. Anyone in the public has the right to sue and for the same reasons as Gerry. It is just that Gerry is the only with enough balls and resources to do what is right.

It is obvious why MSD doesn't want to hold an election. They know they don't have the public support because they have not done a bang up job with all the money they have taken from the public.

  Best,

  Donovan

How about a petition asking that people not hold government agencies and the electorate hostage with fits of pique and petulance?

Subject: [Vision2020] Conciliation Petition

I am not in the Moscow School district, but I am interested in the MSD. I think that for the good of everyone involved this should be settled asap. Here is a petition available at four locations for people to sign if they would like to see this resolved asap. Lets not drag this out threw the court system and waste considerable time and money.

The Conciliation Petition, written by the Moscow School District Committee
for Goodwill and Conciliation, is available for signing at the following
Moscow locations.

. Southside Chevron, Troy Road & Washington

            . Moscow Public Library, 110 S. Jefferson

Following is an excerpt from the attached Petition:

"We, the undersigned, strongly urge the Moscow School District
(MSD) Board of Trustees & Dr. Gerald Weitz to accept the "win-win"
conciliation proposal described in this petition. MSD and Weitz immediately
should initiate a conciliation compromise by entering into a binding legal
agreement whereby Dr. Weitz will drop his lawsuit. In turn, the Board must
agree to re-run the contested indefinite levy as an ordinary maintenance and
operations levy. Such a conciliation compromise would leave intact the 2007
- 2008 MSD budget submitted to the State Department of Education on June
27."

The members of the MSD Committee for Goodwill and Conciliation are Roger
Falen (208-285-1116), Gary Young (208-686-1058), Isabel Bond (208-882-7499),
