MOSCOW RENAISSANCE FAIR POSTER CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT
The Moscow Renaissance Fair would like to invite any and all artisans to participate in our annual poster contest. The first place winner of this contest will receive $200 and have his or her artwork displayed on our 18" by 24" poster. The second place winner will receive $100 and have his or her artwork displayed on the cover of the Moscow Renaissance Fair Program.
Original artwork entries must be no larger than 17 inches by 21 inches. Freehand or computer generated entries will be accepted; computer generated designs must be accompanied by a Photoshop® or Pagemaker® disc. A four-color printing process is used to print the posters.
The artwork should reflect the Moscow Renaissance Fair theme of "A Celebration of Spring," so any whimsical and inviting images of dance, music and springtime rebirth are welcome. The words "34th Annual Moscow Renaissance Fair, May 5 & 6, 2007, East City Park" must appear prominently on the artwork. In addition, the following words must appear in small but legible lettering along the bottom of the artwork: "Moscow Renaissance Fair, PO Box 8848, Moscow, Idaho 83843, www.moscowrenfair.org". Artists must also include the following text: "Featuring children's events, great food, parade, and the finest craftspeople and musicians from the Northwest."
Entries are due no later than noon, Saturday, February 10, 2007 at BookPeople of Moscow, 521 S. Main Street, Moscow, Idaho. Judging will take place at 2:00 p.m. the same day at BookPeople and winners will be announced at 4:00 p.m. Artists must legibly identify themselves by placing his or her name on the back of the artwork, allowing for anonymous judging. A Poster Contest Entry Form also must be attached to the back of your artwork. Entry Forms are available online at www.moscowrenfair.org or at BookPeople of Moscow. All winning entries become the property of the Moscow Renaissance Fair. Artists are responsible for claiming their entries no later than February 16th. After this date, unclaimed artwork left at BookPeople will be recycled.
