Greetings Visionaires -
Auntie Establishment and Brother Carl (who will be sharing the 2 PM - 4 PM
Sunday timeslot with the Palouse Peace Coalition on alternating weekends)
returned to the Moscow airwaves as candid and liberally critical as when
they signed off October 15, 2006. Auntie and Bro C started the show with a
variety of political articles by such authors and comedians as George
Carlin, John Cleese, and Maureen Dowd. Auntie and Bro C further suggested
that if Dale "Comb-Over" Courtney (hereinafter referred to as "Blogstocker
Dale") feels that KRFP shows are imbalanced (as mentioned on his blog) that
he submit an application to host a show on KRFP Radio Free Moscow, a
suggestion I strongly support. Of particular interest this week was a
rather lengthy call-in by a listener from New Zealand who has joined as a
regular portion of the show, reporting on various social and political
topics from Down Under.
Another item discussed this week was the Moscow Chamber of Commerce
President's (Mike Nelson) application to replace John Dickison on the Moscow
City Council submitted to Mayor Chaney on January 19, 2007. What makes this
application so interesting is its submission to Moscow's mayor before
Councilman Dickison's status has even been determined.

This week's song dedication goes to Councilman John Dickison, who, in my
opinion, has always been integral in maintaining a positive, upbeat attitude
among his council peers and those fortunate enough to call him "friend".
His uncanny ability to argue both sides of virtually any political "coin"
serves to enrich lively discussion, both in and outside of council chambers.
He continuously solicits community involvement as evidenced by statements he
made at the city council session of May 15, 2006:

Councilman Dickison's demeanor and overall character epitomize the link
between our community's conscience and its elected officials as the council
endeavors to enhance our community's . . .

They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...."
