J
I have friends in the Soutwick area. I dont know if bears attack livestock or not. I have not heard of it being a problem.
There is verification of kills by wolves as evidenced by their tracks at the carcass.
As to attacks on dogs it has been documented by hunters at Grangeville of such attacks. My brother-in law has seen them attack his dogs at Fairfield. One also charged him near his cabin. He ran inside and shot the wolf through the window.
My brother In Nevada has been working with the National Cattlesmens Association on the wolf problem. I will see what information I can get from him.
