[Vision2020] Recusement? NO

Apparently, unless you are Pope Doug follower, if you have an opinion on ANY
subject in ANY part of the world, you have no right to express that opinion
or exercise your right to protest something, when you are seated on the
MOSCOW City Council. Too bad Todd Flack didn't get asked to recuse himself
more often (even when it was proven that he was voting on issues DIRECTLY
affecting his church/friends/family members) or Paul Kimmell while he was on
the County Commission.

To be clear, the petition was in reference to a WASHINGTON issue, not a
Moscow one!

Dale's Blog:

"Should Ament have Recused Himself?

Honda forwarded me the PARD’s anti-Wal-Mart petition, signed by Aaron Ament.

This was signed before he voted against the Thompson rezone, keeping the
Super-Wal-Mart out of Moscow. (IDAHO ISSUE)

Do you think that it is a conflict of interest for Ament to sign a petition
against the Pullman Wal-Mart, and then turn around and vote to keep the
Super Wal-Mart out of Moscow? (WASHINGTON ISSUE)

# re: Should Ament have Recused Himself?

It definitely shows a prejudice, one that he should have disclosed. Aaron
Ament cannot claim to have had an open mind when he voted on the Thompson
rezone.

Aaron has always had a closed mind. That was his platform. He pushes the
socialist agenda quite well.

Shouldn't this bit of news be in the NEWSPAPER for everyone to see? I guess
some information is fit not to print when certain ideologies are at stake.

Varnel/Dave/April,

Feel free to Email the link to Steve McClure (smcclure at dnews.com) and ask
him to run with it.
