Hot dogs, beer, and women. It was heaven on earth for the Babe / the Bambino / the Sultan of Swat / the King of Swing / the Colossus of Clout / the Prince of Power / the greatest home run hitter the history of the world / the best there was then and the best there ever will be.

Hey, they totally busted Roger Clemens.

Oh yeah, that was AFTER he left the Red Sox and
resurrected his career on steroids with the Yankees.

To get a feel for what steroids could do for you, you
don't just need to look at Barry Bonds increasing hat size and home run numbers,
look at Clemens. He won 192 games for the Red Sox from 1984-1996, while
losing 111. But his last four years with the Red Sox as his body gave out,
1993-96, he won 11, 9, 10 and 10, while losing 14, 7, 5 and 13. He was
basically a .500 pitcher for those four years at 40-39. He goes to Toronto
and is immediately 21-7, and then with the Yanks is 20-6, 14-10, 13-8, 20-3,
13-6, 17-9, followed by 18-4 in Houston in 2004, 13-8, and 7-6, before returning
to the Yanks and going 7-6 this year.

Based on the reports of his extensive "juicing" with the
Yankees and what he did his last four years w/ the Red Sox before
discovering the juice, it would appear to me that the last decade of his
statistics are subject to extreme discounting by the Hall of Fame
voters.

> The Mitchell
report, which reported widespread used of steroids in Major League Baseball, was
released today and it is scandalous. George Mitchell is a director for the
Boston Red Sox and not one marquee player from the Sox was listed in the report
and yet there are many big name Yankee players listed. There should be an
investigation into this discrepancy.
