In response to a recent post (Thu Aug 30 07:08:51 PDT 2007), "Schwallwer"

No I didn't say that. I deliberately avoid saying anything about the issue of 
polygamy because I know that people like you bring it up only to distort the 
issue of gay marriage, in part because reason and argument alone cannot 
your position.

Stop putting words in my mouth and stay focused on this one issue.

What I said was that prohibitions against gay marriage are discriminatory in 
ways that prohibitions against polygamy are not, e.g., they prevent one group 
of people from doing something (marrying the single adult person of their 
choice) whereas no one has the right to marry multiple people.

It DOES NOT FOLLOW from this that I think that polygamists are not 
discriminated against. But on that issue I withhold comment.
