Please consider supporting Rendezvous in the Park's spring fundraiser and showcase of local music talent this Saturday night!  Six local bands playing in half hour slots, three of whom will be picked to open for this summer's Rendezvous in the Park concerts.

Rendezvous in the Park announces line-up for Showcase fundraiser featuring local talent from the Palouse area.  

 

            MOSCOW, ID--  The third annual Rendezvous Showcase of Local Talent, a fundraiser featuring six local musical acts playing for the opportunity to open this summer's Rendezvous in the Park concerts, will take place on Saturday, April 28th at 7:00 PM.  Participating artists will be Cold Rail Blues Band, Ether Hour, Brian Gill, Kelly Riley, Uh-Oh Plane Crash, and Uniontown.

            The event will be held at the Nuart Theatre on Main St. in downtown Moscow.  Doors open at 6:15 P.M.  Admission is $10, and the audience will be invited to vote for their favorite performers. 

             Three of the participating Showcase bands will be invited to open the Rendezvous in the Park concerts this July.  Rendezvous will select the two Showcase bands/artists that receive the most audience votes, and a third band will be chosen by the Rendezvous Board.  

The Showcase winners will be opening for the Rendezvous headliners this July:  soul and gospel legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Mavis Staples, the Mother Hips, and Omar Torrez.

            Mikey's will provide food and beverages at Showcase and guests will be given the opportunity to purchase Rendezvous t-shirts and buttons for entrance to July's 25th Anniversary Rendezvous in the Park.  All proceeds benefit Rendezvous in the Park.
