[Vision2020] Corridor debate: Daily News

Tom,

Nice joke, but that has little to do with my opinion. I have never stated I
am for a huge mall. I am not however opposed to one. I wish and hope Hawkins
will not use as much water as they are asking for. Maybe they will use ALL
xericaping on their landscaping, instead of thousands of feet of grass. I
also realize that the corridor is a gold mine for companies and so does
Whitman. Creating a tax base in which Pullman will thrive.

So while Pullman becomes a richer and better town, we sit and cry wondering
why there are little restuarants to eat at. And of course venture over to
Pullman to do our shopping.

We can all hope that Moscow will stay the hidden gem of the Northwest.
Reality shows that Idaho is one of the top states in growth. So lets focus
on an alternate water source, and I mean really focus. Conserving what we
have by having automatic sprinkler systems, shorter showers, longer grass,
etc etc. But let us not cut out every single company that wants to come here
unless they meet every single specification created by our MCA driven mayor.

Matt
