[Vision2020] Imus Looses His Job

Don Imus crossed a bridge, and lost his job.  As others have said, it was 
actually a classic example of the market system.  Advertisers were bailing, 
he lost his job.  I lost a couple of jobs in radio when I was attempting, in 
my mediocre way, to do that as a living.  The ratings weren't there, and 
then I wasn't there, either.  I've never cared for "shock jocks", and I 
think Howard Stern is much worse than Don Imus.  Of course I feel the same 
way about right wing windbags like Hannity, Savage, ad nauseum.  And 
regarding Javon Butler, I think you're going to find that Robb Akey is the 
antithesis of Dennis Erickson.  I've been following spring practice, and 
coach Akey has kept several players out of practice, some for academic, some 
for disciplinary issues.  This player is not one of Akey's recruits, and I 
believe that, if the allegations are true, Akey will not put up with it.  As 
much as I love college football, this incident, if true, is unfortunately 
all too common in the collegiate, and professional, athletic landscape, and 
the violators are a variety of colors.   Carl Westberg Jr.
